Painting, material and the experience of space.
Painting, material and the experience of space.
Agu Kleme is the artistic name of Agnieszka Witkowska, a Polish artist living and working in Velbert, Germany. Her practice moves between painting, relief and installation. Small figures, objects and marks encounter expansive fields of colour, woven structures and unstable surfaces.
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk with a master’s degree in 2020. Her training in Cultural Space Architecture continues to shape her attention to scale, distance and the relationship between a person and their surroundings.
Her path includes an Erasmus+ exchange at the Escuela de Arte de Sevilla, an internship on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, and her work at 9 Arts Atelier in Velbert since 2024.
